The Secure File Transfer Monitoring System is a Python-based cybersecurity project that monitors file system activities in real time. It detects file creation, modification, and deletion events, identifies changes to sensitive files, performs SHA256-based file integrity verification, generates security alerts, and maintains audit logs and session reports.
This project demonstrates fundamental Blue Team concepts such as file activity monitoring, integrity verification, and security event logging.

- The program monitors the selected folder in real time.
- File creation, modification, and deletion events are detected.
- Sensitive files are identified based on predefined filenames.
- SHA256 hashes are calculated and stored.
- Whenever a file changes, the new SHA256 hash is compared with the previous hash.
- If the hash changes, an Integrity Alert is generated.
- All events are recorded in log files.
- A session report is generated when the program stops.
The project currently monitors the following sensitive files:
- passwords.txt
- salary.xlsx
- confidential.txt
