Rewrites the JOSS paper's Statement of need, replacing the earlier draft (which contained typos: "relatiojn", "unfeasibles", "resticts", "fully scientific potential") with a framing built around joint modelling across datasets and the resulting dimensionality/likelihood cost.

Recovered by a /repo_cleanup sweep — the branch was local-only with no remote, so this was the sole copy of the revision.

Second commit fixes two defects in the revised text itself:

  • multi-scale m\nass models rendered as "multi-scale m ass models" (markdown joins wrapped lines with a space).
  • "a compelling route to making the compelling science possible with these data feasible" — repeated word, broken clause.

Docs-only; no code paths touched.

- 'multi-scale m\nass models' renders as 'multi-scale m ass models' because
markdown joins wrapped lines with a space; rewrapped to keep 'mass' intact.
- 'a compelling route to making the compelling science possible with these
data feasible' -> 'a compelling route to making the science these data
enable feasible' (drops the repeat, fixes the clause).
