Problem

Insights, dashboards and web analytics lose their query cache since feat(hogql): staff switch for the native events table #122489 shipped, and some insight saves fail with a 400.
feat(hogql): staff switch for the native events table #122489 removed useNewEventsCluster from HogQLQueryModifiers, which forbids unknown fields.
Cached responses and saved query bodies written before the deploy still carry the key, often as false.
Each failed cache read throws away a valid result and runs the query again on ClickHouse.

Changes

Old cache entries parse again, so users get cached results instead of a recompute. Insight request bodies with the key pass QuerySchemaParser again.
useNewEventsCluster comes back as a @deprecated boolean on HogQLQueryModifiers. No code reads it.
EVENTS_ROUTE_MODIFIER_KEYS and events_route_cache_modifiers drop the key again, so it never splits a cache key. This matches the cache keys from before feat(hogql): staff switch for the native events table #122489, so old entries stay reachable.
Mechanical: regenerated schema.json, schema.py, the Orval types and the MCP clients.

Note

The alternative was to strip unknown keys at each strict parse site. A deprecated field covers every reader at once: the cache, the insight parser, saved insights and batch export modifiers.

How did you test this code?

Ran test_query_runner.py -k "cache_key or async_payload_pins" and posthog/hogql/test/test_modifiers.py locally.
test_new_events_schema_routing.py has one failure (test_the_cookie_switches_a_staff_persons_requests_to_events_json), and it fails the same way on unmodified master.
Not run: the full backend suite and the frontend typecheck. CI runs them.

Test rationale: test_cache_key_ignores_the_deprecated_events_cluster_modifier builds a runner from a query that carries the key and checks that its cache key matches a plain query. Without the cache-key change it fails for False and True. The nearest test (test_cache_key_ignores_query_log_tags) uses a stub runner with no modifiers path, so a separate case is needed.

What the toolbar ships to customer pages, measured from the esbuild output (minified, post-tree-shake). The eager set is the entry plus everything statically imported from it — fetched before any feature runs; deferred chunks load lazily. The eager guardrail is 5.72 MiB. Each output file must also stay below 10 MB, where CloudFront stops compressing it. The module boundary is enforced separately by check-toolbar-graph.
