UpdateStar lists alternatives for FreeTube, for example on https://freetube.updatestar.com/alternatives. It builds those pages from its own software catalog, and OpenTubeX isn't in it. To add a product, UpdateStar asks for a link to a PAD file, an XML format that software directories read for a program's name, version, description, download link and contact details.

This PR adds /pad.xml. The site generates it at build time:

• The version and Windows installer link come from src/data/release.ts. The release bot already updates that file and redeploys the site after each release, so the PAD file shows the current version without manual edits.
• The release date comes from the GitHub releases data that the changelog already loads. Offline builds leave the date empty.
• Descriptions, OS list, languages, the Audio & Multimedia::Video Tools category and the AGPL-3.0 license notice are fixed text in src/lib/pad.ts. The contact email is [email protected].

tests/pad.test.ts checks the description length limits, XML escaping and release fields. bun test passes with 87 tests. A full bun run build produced a well-formed dist/pad.xml for v0.37.0, released October 23, 2026.

After this deploys, the link goes to [email protected].
