- remove dependency on ifconfig by using ip instead
- disable IPv6 in veth interfaces used for testing
Use the ip command instead of ifconfig when disabling ARP on an interface. This removes the dependency on ifconfig, which is not installed by default in many distributions. Signed-off-by: Janne Peltonen <[email protected]>
Disable IPv6 in the veth interfaces created by the pktio_env script to get rid of the noise caused by IPv6 stack. This makes debugging more convenient. ARP was already disabled, but not before the interface was brought up. Change the ordering for better silence by bringing the interface up after ARP and IPv6 have been disabled.
