The management account's root user cannot assume a root session, so the procedure needs a regular IAM principal such as an Identity Center user. Co-Authored-By: Claude Sonnet 5.5 <[email protected]> Signed-off-by: Rob Grafrath <[email protected]>
The audit shows Not present for a member account created through Organizations, and password recovery is blocked once centralized root access management is on. Describe checking, not deleting. Co-Authored-By: Claude Sonnet 5.5 <[email protected]> Signed-off-by: Rob Grafrath <[email protected]>

A member account created through Organizations has no root credentials, and centralized root access management blocks password recovery for it. The management account's root user cannot check this ("RootSession may not be assumed by root accounts"), so the guide now describes checking with a temporary Identity Center permission set.
Verified on the Foundation's account: the sandbox account reads "Not present".
