Issues

• Coverage misses the first line of a function run only through a function value from another file

• A record update with a list literal of records segfaults at runtime

Nimblesite/osprey#293 · Filter by author MelbourneDeveloper opened on Oct 24, 2026

• Undocumented exports compile without any warning

Nimblesite/osprey#289 · Filter by author MelbourneDeveloper opened on Oct 24, 2026

• Compiler hangs indefinitely (no output, flat memory) on --run after adding forward module reference and new record helper

• A function that calls one defined later is not generalized

Nimblesite/osprey#287 · Filter by author MelbourneDeveloper opened on Oct 23, 2026

• Derive changed signal identities from static Signal handler values

Nimblesite/osprey#286 · Filter by author MelbourneDeveloper opened on Oct 23, 2026

• Std signals: built-in Signal<T>, retained frame cache, change identities and keyed refresh

Nimblesite/osprey#285 · Filter by author MelbourneDeveloper opened on Oct 23, 2026

• No way to name the signalRefresh snapshot record in a signature: a nominal record type does not unify with the structural { dependencies, revision, value }

Nimblesite/osprey#284 · Filter by author MelbourneDeveloper opened on Oct 23, 2026

• Codegen: closure passed to a generic function inside a nested match stage is 'still generic' although every type is concrete

Nimblesite/osprey#283 · Filter by author MelbourneDeveloper opened on Oct 23, 2026

• Constructors declared in another namespace can't be used in match patterns

Nimblesite/osprey#282 · Filter by author MelbourneDeveloper opened on Oct 23, 2026

• --target=macos silently drops exports (signalDependencies/signalSnapshot in call graph, or swallowed codegen errors)

Nimblesite/osprey#281 · Filter by author MelbourneDeveloper opened on Oct 23, 2026

• Staged function forwarding a callable parameter emits an undefined '<param>$stageN' symbol (link failure)

Nimblesite/osprey#280 · Filter by author MelbourneDeveloper opened on Oct 23, 2026

• Codegen: generic self-recursion through a fold lambda over a recursive generic union fails ('match arms disagree on type: i64 and i8*')

Nimblesite/osprey#279 · Filter by author MelbourneDeveloper opened on Oct 23, 2026

• Mutually recursive generic functions are instantiated monomorphically

Nimblesite/osprey#278 · Filter by author MelbourneDeveloper opened on Oct 23, 2026

• Generic function is instantiated monomorphically when its file sorts after the caller's file

Nimblesite/osprey#277 · Filter by author MelbourneDeveloper opened on Oct 23, 2026

• List has no map/filter/sort: no List->Iterator bridge and no sort built-in

Nimblesite/osprey#276 · Filter by author MelbourneDeveloper opened on Oct 23, 2026

• Closures stored in a recursive union can't be invoked (effect provenance unproven), and field function types can't declare an effect row

Nimblesite/osprey#275 · Filter by author MelbourneDeveloper opened on Oct 22, 2026

• handle static does not discharge operations of a callback passed as a parameter, so signal providers can't be abstracted

Nimblesite/osprey#274 · Filter by author MelbourneDeveloper opened on Oct 22, 2026

• Field access quarantined ('N records declare it, receiver not tracked') even when the receiver type is known; --check accepts it

Nimblesite/osprey#273 · Filter by author MelbourneDeveloper opened on Oct 22, 2026

• signalRefresh result passed directly as a call argument inside handle static miscompiles: silent wrong values or 'field on a non-record'

• Built-in typed JSON value and encoder: Osprey can parse JSON but every app hand-writes its own escaper and serializer

• Python flavor: a function that calls a later-defined generic function is not generalized
