Summary
This adds 45 community-feed catalog entries served by BusOne Proxy for 16
Italian public-transport datasets:
The schedule records follow the already accepted BusOne Cotral convention:
the transit operator remains the
provider,nameisBusOne,is_officialisFalse, and the corresponding BusOne namespace README isused as the license URL.
Realtime records use
<operator> - BusOneas the provider and reference thematching BusOne Schedule source, rather than an original operator source.
Vehicle Positions are included only where BusOne publishes them as real
positions. For Trenitalia, Italo and Trentino Trasporti, only Trip Updates are
listed because their Vehicle Positions are explicitly described as simulated
or estimated.
Some areas already have original operator feeds in the catalog. These BusOne
records are intentionally additional community sources: they use distinct
producer URLs and may normalize, combine or enrich the upstream datasets.
The BusOne versions are not simple mirrors: compared with the original feeds,
they provide improved data quality and consistency through processing such as
static/realtime ID alignment, dataset consolidation, reconstructed shapes,
route metadata enrichment and validation against the matching Schedule data.
For several networks where the operator does not publish usable GTFS
Realtime, BusOne's internal processing pipelines create reliable Vehicle
Positions and Trip Updates from operational sources. They identify the active
trip, match realtime observations to the BusOne Schedule feed and reconstruct
or propagate stop-level updates where needed.
All of these feeds are already included in Transitous. Members of the
Transitous team encouraged their submission to Mobility Database so they
can also be discovered and reused through this catalog.
More information about the feeds, processing and individual datasets is
available at proxy.busone.app.
The existing Cotral BusOne records (
mdb-3386,mdb-3387,mdb-3388) areleft unchanged.
