Disconnect() called from inside a MafiaNet callback shut the peer down while FileListTransfer and RakPeer::Receive were still on the stack. The shutdown frees every FileListReceiver and the packet pool, so a join refused from OnAssetsDownloaded used the freed receiver or freed it twice. Disconnect() during Update() now resets the session at once and leaves the peer shutdown to Update() once dispatch unwinds. Packets and RPCs still queued for the dropped session are not dispatched. Fixes MafiaHub#315
WalkthroughNetworkClient now defers peer shutdown when Disconnect is called during packet dispatch. NetworkPeer stops dispatching when shutdown is pending. A download-disconnect test covers the deferred shutdown path. ChangesDispatch-safe disconnect

Reject reconnect attempts while _shutdownPending is true.
The disconnected callback itself runs before ResetConnectionState(), so a direct Connect() call from that callback is rejected by the current state check. However, a dispatch callback can call Disconnect(), continue after it returns, and then call Connect(). The new connection can start while _shutdownPending remains set. Update() then shuts down the peer and leaves the client in CONNECTING.
No repository callback documents or uses reconnect during dispatch. Reject this sequence explicitly.

💡 Result:
At commit `6ede3cb14e9aeb1c8f11f365c76fa0c1e5c1c50a`, `NetworkClient::Disconnect()` avoids shutting down the network peer immediately when called during MafiaNet packet dispatch. It marks shutdown as pending instead; `Update()` shuts the peer down after dispatch finishes. This prevents freeing receivers and packets still in use by the receive stack. Outside dispatch, it shuts down the peer immediately. ([github.com](https://github.com/MafiaHub/Framework/commit/6ede3cb14e9aeb1c8f11f365c76fa0c1e5c1c50a))
The commit also clears the cached authentication token during peer shutdown so a later `Connect()` can register it again. ([github.com](https://github.com/MafiaHub/Framework/commit/6ede3cb14e9aeb1c8f11f365c76fa0c1e5c1c50a))

Finalize the pending shutdown when dispatch throws.
Disconnect() sets _shutdownPending and then marks the client disconnected. If a callback throws, NetworkClient::Update() skips the pending-shutdown block. A later Disconnect() returns immediately because the state is already DISCONNECTED, so it cannot repair the pending shutdown. Clearing _dispatching with an RAII guard alone is not sufficient.
Catch the exception after NetworkPeer::Update() unwinds, perform the pending shutdown, and then rethrow.

Fixes #315.
Problem
NetworkClient::Disconnect()calledRakPeer::Shutdown()immediately, even when it was reached from inside a MafiaNet callback.Shutdown()runs every plugin'sOnRakPeerShutdown()and clears the packet pool, while the plugin that made the callback andRakPeer::Receiveare still on the stack. The client's join refusal hits this every time:
FileListTransfer::DecodeSetHeader→AssetDownloadFileProgress::OnDownloadComplete→Instance::OnAssetsDownloaded→net->Disconnect().FileListTransfer::Clear()deletes the receiver thatDecodeSetHeaderis still using, which then callsOnDereference()through it and deletes it again. In release builds this crashes with an access violation, or with0xC0000374when the double free is caught first. The same applies to any otherDisconnect()made during dispatch, such as one from an RPC handler.Change
NetworkClient::Update()marks the time it spends dispatching. ADisconnect()during that window still fires the disconnect callback and resets the session state immediately, but leavesShutdown()(and the per-connectionCloseConnection) toUpdate(), which runs it onceNetworkPeer::Update()returns.NetworkPeergains a virtualIsDispatchHalted(),falseby default, so the server is unchanged. While a client teardown is pending, the receive loop stops pulling packets and registered RPC handlers are skipped. This keeps today's behaviour, where the shutdown empties the queue.Test
New
download_disconnectmodule in FrameworkTests. A loopbackNetworkServersends an empty file set to a connectedNetworkClient, and the download handler callsDisconnect()fromOnDownloadComplete, as the join refusal does. The test checks that the receiver survives the call and is released exactly once.completions=1, receiver destroyed insideDisconnect()). The handler then throws out ofRakPeer::Receive, so the runner never touches the freed memory. Not included
AssetFileTransfer::OnClosedConnectionstill doesn't callFileListTransfer::OnClosedConnection, so receivers outlive a lost connection until the next shutdown. It's listed on #315 as a separate follow-up.Summary by CodeRabbit
