- **A new installation starts faster.** Its database is set up in one step
rather than some 150, which on a busy Windows disk took over 30 seconds;
and an upgrade that fails part-way leaves the database as it was. (#61)
- **A file deleted in a game's extra save folder no longer comes back.**
When the other device's "done" report went missing, or the record of what
both devices hold was rebuilt a moment too late, the deleted file read as
one this device never had, and the next sync fetched it back. Extra save
folders now keep track of deletions the way the main save folder does.
(#49)
- **A deletion is no longer undone after the other device took a save from
this one.** The same missing record as above, on another path; it is
repaired the same way, and forgotten when a game is untracked so that a
game tracked again starts clean. (#70)
- **A deleted save folder counts as missing, not emptied.** Deleting a folder
removes its files first, so OpenSave sometimes asked whether emptying the
save was meant, and kept asking after the folder came back. A folder that
is gone now pauses quietly until it returns. If it comes back empty, or
with fewer of the files both devices last had, it is held and asked about,
so it is never synced to your other devices as deletions. (#69)
- **An edit made on both devices right after a sync is no longer lost.**
Edits within two seconds of the last sync used to count as unchanged, so if
both devices made one, one quietly replaced the other. Any edit after the
last sync now counts, and when both devices made one you are asked. (#72)
- **A folder offered on another drive no longer overrides one you set by
hand.** If you set a game's save folder yourself while OpenSave was
offering one it found on another drive, the old offer is now dropped
rather than able to replace your choice. (#68)
- **A local or network folder used for cloud backup that cannot be read is
reported, not taken for an empty backup.** A NAS that was offline or a
folder that could not be opened used to look like a backup with nothing in
it. (#47)
