VideoStudio's queue, recovery, and launch flows had several reliability gaps that could lose storyboard captions, allow a view-only process to mutate shared jobs, or prevent Windows users from starting the app outside its original developer path. This change tightens those boundaries and adds repeatable offline validation so regressions are caught in CI.
The implementation escapes user-controlled content in job cards, persists storyboard caption/timing metadata per scene for safe checkpoint reuse, corrects SRT millisecond rounding, fails closed on worker-lock errors, and makes the Windows launchers resolve the project directory and prefer its virtual environment. Offline unit tests now run in CI; network/API/media smoke checks remain explicitly opt-in to avoid consuming quota during discovery.
Validation: 9 offline tests, Gradio app construction, project-wide Python compilation, and
git diff --checkpassed. Full cloud/GPU backend generation was not exercised.
