I'm a bioinformatics PhD candidate at Kyoto University and a JSPS Research Fellow (DC1).
I study viruses hidden in eukaryotic genomes and build computational workflows for large-scale genome and protein analysis. Recently, I've also been exploring protein language models and AI for Science.
Outside research, I enjoy observing and documenting biodiversity on iNaturalist.
A reproducible tool that uses protein language model embeddings to screen for double-jelly-roll major capsid protein candidates.
