Check the reference pages here, not a day later (GRYT-1100) - #516

Conversation
The three generated pages in docs are written from doc comments in this repository and two others. The superproject checks them on a schedule, which reports hours later in a repository nobody touched. GRYT-1096 and GRYT-1099 were both that. Same check, on the pull request that causes it, through the shared workflow in Gryt-chat/.github. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5 <[email protected]>

Three pages in
docsare generated from doc comments in this repository and twoothers. The superproject checks them, because it's the only place that can see all
four at once — and that means the failure lands hours later, in a repository nobody
touched, naming a page in a third one.
It happened twice this week, a day apart. Gryt-chat/gryt#249 inherited a red check
from the client's comment PR (GRYT-1096), then from the bot's (GRYT-1099). Both
times the author's own PR was green.
This calls the same check from the pull request that causes it, through a shared
workflow in Gryt-chat/.github. The caller gets checked out into its own slot, so the
check reads what the PR proposes rather than what's on main. The superproject's
nightly run stays as the backstop for anything merged out of order.
It is red until the shared workflow lands
Gryt-chat/.githubPR #20 has to merge first — until it does, this reports"workflow was not found". Nothing else in here needs it.
Checked
The shared workflow was run for real from a scratch branch before this was opened,
pointed at its own branch:
component: bot— cloned the generator and the other three sides, 3 pages match.component: docs— hand-edited a generated page, and it failed naming the pageand printing the diff of what the generator would write. Reverted, and it passed
with socket coverage at 147/211.
