Tools and engine work for Fallout 4 and Bethesda games.
G.A.R.D.E.N is where we're building the tools we wish existed for Fallout 4 and Bethesda games.
A lot of Fallout 4 development still means jumping between old tools, undocumented formats, and engine limitations. We're working on changing that. Some projects are focused on making mod development easier. Others go much deeper into the engine itself.
A modern development environment built specifically for Fallout 4. The idea is simple: put editing, inspection, debugging, and the tools you actually need in one place instead of making people piece together a workflow from a dozen separate programs.
We're working toward running Fallout 4 through Godot.
Think OpenMW, but for Fallout 4. This means figuring out how Fallout 4's files, world, rendering, animation, records, scripting, and other systems work and rebuilding what is needed in an open engine.
This is a long-term project and there is a lot to solve, but that's the direction.
A visual editor and research tool for Bethesda behavior graphs and animation systems. Behavior graphs are powerful, but working with them is far harder than it should be. BGS is being built to make inspecting, understanding, and eventually editing them much less painful.
This organization isn't limited to those projects. If we run into another part of Bethesda development that needs a better tool, there's a good chance we'll build one.
That can mean asset viewers, debugging tools, format research, editors, converters, visualization tools, or something we haven't needed yet.
Figure out how it works. Build a better way to work with it.
