- Read: tap any NDEF tag and see its records decoded on screen.
- Write: URLs, plain text, contacts (vCard), WiFi network credentials, phone numbers and email addresses to writable tags such as NTAG213, NTAG215 and NTAG216.
- Tag Info: tag type (NTAG, MIFARE and others), UID, memory size, technologies and whether the tag is writable or read-only.
- Tools: writable check, NTAG tap counter, chip identification, NDEF validator, a shortcut to the device NFC settings, and copy tag to clone NDEF data onto another tag.
- Erase, format and lock tags. Locking makes a tag permanently read-only, so the app asks for confirmation first.
- History: every scan is saved with a timestamp and can be searched, filtered, saved and exported.
- Available in 73 languages, including English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Turkish, Arabic, Hindi, Japanese, Korean and Chinese.
- Pro subscription adds more write types, advanced tools, unlimited history and removes ads.
Scanned data and history stay on the device. Nothing is collected, transmitted or shared with third parties. The full statement is in the privacy policy linked above.
What can I write to a tag? Links, plain text, a contact card, WiFi credentials, a phone number or an email address. Choose the type, fill in the details and hold the tag to the phone.
Which tags work? Any NDEF compatible writable tag, such as NTAG213, NTAG215 and NTAG216 stickers, cards and keychains. Bank cards, transit cards and ID cards cannot be written to.
What does Tag Info show? The tag type, UID, memory size, supported technologies and write status, so you can tell exactly which chip you are holding.
Can I erase or lock a tag? Yes. Erase and format wipe the contents. Lock turns the tag read-only for good, so the app confirms before doing it.
Is NFC Tool free? Yes. Reading and the core writing features are free. A Pro subscription unlocks extra write types, advanced tools, unlimited history and an ad-free experience. Current Pro pricing is shown in the app and on the store listing.
