[Exploratory] Spend-Merchant Equal to filter is not accent-sensitive like Merchant rules #104195
Version Number: V9.5.12-0 Reproducible in staging?: Yes Reproducible in production?: Yes If this was caught during regression testing, add the test name, ID and link from BrowserStack:#83733 Email or phone of affected tester (no customers):[email protected] Issue reported by: Applause Internal Team Bug source: Exploratory - Significant User Experience Deterioration Device used: Redmi note 10s android 13 App Component: User Settings
Action Performed:
Launch app
Create 2 manual expense with merchant É and Ét
Apply merchant filter equals to E
Note merchant É expense is shown
Go to workspace settings and enable rules
Add a merchant rule with Merchant E exactly matches set description to hi
Create an expense with merchant É
Open the expense and note merchant rule not applied
Expected Result:
The Merchant filter's Equal to option should not display the É expense when filtering for E, consistent with the Merchant rule's Exactly matches behavior.
Actual Result:
The Merchant filter with Equal to E displays the expense with merchant É, but the Merchant rule with E and Exactly matches does not apply to an expense with merchant É.
