[$175] [CFI][FE 7/7] Payment history: "members" copy variant for the Collect plan #101834

Open

Description

@melvin-bot

Sub-task of [CFI] Add a "View payment history" page with historical billing receipts and monthly user activity.

Goal

On the new Collect plan there is no concept of "active users", so the payment history pages say members instead.

Scope

  • Drive the variant off the subscription plan using src/hooks/useSubscriptionPlan.ts.
  • Sweep every string added in FE 1/7 through FE 5/7 — the table, the Activity header, the count line, and the details page — and give each an "active users" and a "members" form in every src/languages/*.ts locale.
  • Audit the result: no "active users" string should be reachable anywhere in this flow on a Collect account.

Acceptance criteria

  • A Collect account sees "members" on the table, the details page, and the activity list.
  • A Control account sees "active users" in the same three places.
  • Every locale has both variants; no locale falls back to the wrong wording.

Depends on

FE 1/7 through FE 5/7 — this is the final copy pass, so it needs all the strings to exist first.

Related cleanup (not this issue)

Once rollout completes, the payment-history beta gate added in FE 1/7 and the old viewPurchases() Search navigation should both be removed, alongside the backend ungate. That is a small follow-up PR, tracked with the backend rollout rather than here.

🤖 Draft PR created: [CFI] Payment history: show "members" instead of "active users" on the Collect plan
Please mark it as "Ready for review" or ask me to do that for you when it is ready for review.

Collect accounts now see "members" instead of "active users" on the payment history pages. Control accounts are unchanged. The plan comes from useSubscriptionPlan().

    The change covers 3 strings:

    • Table rows: "3 active users" becomes "3 members".
    • Activity list count: "N active users" becomes "N members".
    • Activity search field: "Find an active user" becomes "Find a member".

The new members and findMember strings are in all 11 locales.

One decision for you: useSubscriptionPlan() treats legacy Collect pricing as Collect too, so those accounts will also see "members". If only accounts on the new 2025 pricing should see it, I can switch the check to shouldUseSimplifiedCollectSubscriptionUI(plan, hasTeam2025Pricing). The Subscription settings page already uses that check.

Testing: The payment details tests pass (5 of 5), including new Collect and Control cases. Typecheck, lint, spell check, and the React Compiler check also pass. I couldn't run a browser check: the web test session loaded a blank page during onboarding, before the beta-gated page.

I don't have push access to your fork, so I pushed the branch to upstream. The PR has steps for moving it to your fork.
