The uncertain-cleanup test sent a 50ms first request after proving only socket existence. On slower lazy worker startup that request correctly expired in the queue, so master CI observed deadline instead of the intended active-query cleanup_unproved.

Prove a completed warm query/resident identity, then arm a distinct query-delay fault. Keep deliberate load delay to exercise the original race, preserve quarantine/restart/recovery assertions, and observe reap within a bounded deadline. Only tests and a never-installed fault adapter change; production service and installed artifact bytes remain unchanged.

Validation: deterministic queue-expiry red receipt, repaired public case green, all 34 service cases pass against the installed runtime. Full source/CI qualification remains required. Refs #7; original CI failure and first adapter-marker failure are retained in docs/research/2026-10-05-quarantine-fixture-repair.md.
