GitHub is moving
ubuntu-latestfrom 24.04 to 26.04 between 19 Oct and 19 Nov 2026. Leaving the matrix on floating*-latestlabels means CI can suddenly change OS under us. Format check, coverage gate, pack, and artifact upload are gated withif: matrix.os == '…', so those labels must match the matrix exactly — if they still sayubuntu-latestafter the matrix is pinned, those steps are silently skipped.What changed

Pinned labels stop the upcoming
ubuntu-latestflip from changing our runners. Keeping theif:strings identical to the matrix label in one commit ensures Verify formatting, coverage, Pack, and Upload artifacts still run on the Linux job instead of being skipped.
