Add browser Back/Forward navigation for trial, tetrode and cut choices, without adding entries for edits or other controls. Repeated choices add no duplicate entries. Navigation preserves each cut’s undo history, cancels unfinished split previews, and waits for a view matching the requested recording.
The click-only “Try it now with simulated data” file graphic generates five trials with eight tetrodes each: roughly 50k spikes over 20 minutes, 24–48 cells and noisier waveforms. Rust simulates 50 Hz movement in a 1 m box, steering towards less-visited squares of a 10×10 grid with smooth turns, speed changes and pauses. Shared trajectories and random-access record generation avoid redundant work and large fake waveform Blobs. A separate stress preset exercises 9M spikes / 100 cells.
Finish the compact UI: remove the footer and numeric split form, move small recording statistics into the toolbar, keep rendering controls in Settings, default to paint with a lasso icon, wrap group chips, and add complete plot borders with 4 px gaps. Shared geometry keeps GPU rendering, paint/lasso picking and Space copies aligned. Comparison windows drag from anywhere and cannot be resized manually; the position speed line is vertical and red. Dev uses a stable port 5173, independently of test preview servers.
Validation: production Rust/Wasm + TypeScript/Vite build, 14 native tests and 12 unit tests pass. Browser coverage includes recording history, exact edits through the new plot layout, trajectory coverage, generated and imported 9M spike export/undo integrity, real recordings and the /waveform/ deployment path. All 30 local browser scenarios pass, including the private fixtures. GitHub Actions passes the build, all 14 native tests, all 12 unit tests and 28 browser scenarios (the two private-fixture scenarios run locally only). Private fixtures and generated build artifacts are excluded.
