E-ink tablets like boox optimize their native apps stylus latency while other apps have latency problems.
There's no animation software that has good stylus latency on boox

Integrating the openinkbridge sdk would allow for drawing without latency don't this devices.

This isn't something we can reliably implement, since not only do we mostly use exclusively Web APIs, we also don't have any known E-ink users.

While this would help users of E-ink (drawing) tablets, most Candlestick users stick to simpler, screen-less drawing tablets, and also probably will have 'graduated' from Wick until they get any drawing tablets with screens.

The linked repo does appear to have a web version "for HTML5 Canvas/SVG synchronization". We'd have to look into it deeper but it might not be out of the question.

I don't think this will be a priority because, as InternetAstronaut said, we don't know of anyone else using e-ink tablets. However, we would want to support as many use cases as we reasonably can, so this could be something for the future. If/when that time comes, we'd be happy to work with you to make sure it works properly.

While not specifically wick theres definetly demand for an animation app without latency for eink devices.

Most apps are written in c++ not java and dont have a web version, making integration hard/not possible.

I don't think Wick/Candlestick is built with e-Ink tablet devices in mind, it would feel like just Flash CS6 on an e-Ink tablet while also being 0-latency.

If anything, @l-konrad, I believe the best option for e-Ink would be something custom built, and more raster-based. Wick is just too much of a 'Adobe Animate on Chrome' to fill that gap currently.

@InternetAstronaut my personal opinion on Wick/Candlestick's use cases rn is that ANYONE at all should be able to get a good animation app on ANY device at all. As far as I know, Wick/Candlestick is the only animation app that is completely free, no ads, open-source, and available on mobile and tablet, so this isn't a bad idea.

I will send a demo ehat it looks like here. I dont think there will be much difference from using it on a tablet.

I imagine that creating a new app is much more of an undertaking, even if styling/theming and adjusting the ui for the eink tablet might be required.
