Civic transparency portal for LGU Aborlan, Palawan — government services directory, officials, ordinances/resolutions, and budget transparency data.
BetterAborlan.org is a volunteer-built website that brings the Municipality of Aborlan's government information into one easy-to-use place — services offered by each office, local officials, ordinances and resolutions, municipal statistics, and budget transparency data, all searchable from a single homepage instead of scattered across Facebook posts and paper notices.
It's built by residents and volunteers, for residents — the goal is to make it simple for anyone, including people who aren't especially tech-savvy, to quickly find what they need from their local government. It's modeled after BetterGov.ph, an open, community-run civic transparency project.
The site is a living project — services, data, and features get added and improved over time as more volunteers and verified information come in.
This project was initially forked from BetterSolano, with inspiration also drawn from other portals in the BetterLGU directory — part of the BetterGov.ph movement. If you're looking to build a civic transparency site for your own LGU, consider starting from a BetterLGU template like BetterSolano's — it saves you from building the whole stack from scratch, and you can browse existing/planned portals at the BetterLGU directory.
