Opening or decoding a CBZ could finish after the reader was cleared or another file was selected, restoring stale comic content or reporting an obsolete error over the newer file. Comic rendering now checks both the library selection and render generation before applying results, keeps the currently displayed page when navigation fails, and cleans up URLs and reader controls on current open failures.
Adds regression coverage for delayed archive/page completion after Clear and MP3 replacement, stale rejections, reverse page completion order, failed navigation, and initial-page/archive failure cleanup. Release metadata is synchronized to 2.3.7 without dependency changes.
Validation: the original Clear/MP3 race failed on the baseline; source consumer checks and independent review passed. Isolated packaged 2.3.7 verification passed the new cancellation, ordering, error, and URL-cleanup cases together with prior progress, backup, EPUB, Shows, GPU, and server checks. User profiles were preserved; the installer was prepared, not installed.
This is a stacked draft PR based on
codex/epub-chapter-navigation(#10). Merge #10 first, then rebase/retarget this PR onto main so its comic-only scope remains clear. PDF and EPUB image issues remain separate pending work.
