Outcome

  • Preserve structured Cloud refusal codes and exact server remedies for deploy and schedule commands.
  • Append interactive-login advice only for legacy typed session_required, not every HTTP 403.
  • Keep current insufficient_scope guidance intact, including flows:listeners:write; scoped deployment tokens are supported.
  • Keep workspace and flow_repository_not_allowlisted refusals intact without generic login or OAuth hints.
  • Keep helper authority intact when the same provider also has an authored event handler.
  • Require verified webhook ingress only for providers the command is activating as hosted listener sources. flows run --cloud and flows schedule remain direct/polling submissions even when the authored flow contains GitLab handlers.
  • Recheck that explicit ingress result after an interactive browser connection becomes sync-ready; a newly connected GitLab listener cannot bypass the same admission gate.
  • Keep f.gitlab, polling, and older Cloud responses compatible; no OAuth switch or replacement connection is attempted.

This is the CLI/SDK half of the GitLab token project-selection repair. It does not mutate a customer connection and is not a deployment.

Verification

The complete affected suite includes regressions proving:

  • listener create and active-listener version update refuse eventIngressReady: false;
  • an interactive connection is rechecked before listener admission;
  • real flows run --cloud and flows schedule paths with an authored GitLab handler proceed to submission without webhook ingress; and
  • helper/source requirement collection and older Cloud compatibility remain intact.
  • schedule-list 403s retain their structured refusal, so login guidance remains limited to typed session_required responses.

Explain Change →

Walkthrough

The SDK now prioritizes event-source integration requirements, checks explicit GitLab webhook-ingress readiness for source requirements, and reports structured Cloud refusal codes. Deploy and schedule commands add interactive-login guidance only for session_required refusals.

Changes: GitLab event-ingress readiness

Layer / File(s) Summary
Event-source requirement precedence
packages/sdk/src/flow-requirements.ts, packages/sdk/tests/flow-requirements.test.ts, packages/sdk/tests/cloud-connect.test.ts
An event-source requirement replaces an existing non-source requirement for the same provider. Tests cover GitLab declared as both a source and a tool or helper.
GitLab ingress readiness check
packages/sdk/src/cloud-connect.ts, packages/sdk/tests/cloud-connect.test.ts
GitLab source requirements that are not deploy targets fail with integration_not_ready when eventIngressReady is explicitly false. Tests cover ready ingress, unverified ingress, helper use, and legacy status responses.

Cloud refusal reporting

Layer / File(s) Summary
Refusal codes and login guidance
packages/sdk/src/cli/cloud-deploy.ts, packages/sdk/src/cli/cloud-schedule.ts, packages/sdk/tests/cloud-deploy.test.ts, packages/sdk/tests/cloud-schedule.test.ts
Deploy and schedule reports prefer structured refusal codes. They add interactive-login guidance only for session_required; tests check that other refusals retain their server messages without that guidance.

  • AgentWorkforce/flows#702: Adds integration_not_ready for connected integrations that are not ready; this PR uses the same refusal for GitLab event sources with unready webhook ingress.
Merge Risk: Moderate · up to d39e4

A hosted GitLab event source can be submitted after a fresh browser connection even though Cloud reports webhook ingress as not verified. The flow would then never receive events. Re-check ingress after the prompted connection before merging.

Summary

This PR separates GitLab sync readiness from hosted webhook readiness.

  • Hosted GitLab listeners wait for verified webhook ingress.
  • Deploy and schedule commands keep Cloud's refusal codes.

Independent review update at exact 46a4519bf1245d39e66bbec7a4367e8aac092839, superseding my prior d39 review.

Reviewed the post-connect change: connectIntegration returns the full ready probe, and ensureIntegrationsConnected reapplies the explicit GitLab event-ingress gate before recording the provider as connected. The real source-requirement regression proves disconnected -> interactive session -> ready with eventIngressReady=false is refused. Compatibility for absent explicit status remains. No blocking source finding in this change.

This is code/test signoff at this exact head. CI linux artifact/background review checks remain in progress at the last check; no merge or release claimed. This does not establish a live Nabis listener, provider writeback, or hosted Git credential path.

Independent review at exact 33011891e414dba73a1038e13d9af87483b2fb50, superseding my previous46a4519 review.

Reviewed both new commits and all nine changed files in the delta:

  • Hosted listener creation and active-version updates explicitly pass their activated source providers to the ingress preflight. The gate applies both before and after interactive connect.
  • Direct cloud runs and schedules omit the event-listener context, so an authored GitLab handler does not wrongly require webhook ingress for those submissions. The regressions exercise the real CLI submission paths.
  • Restoring first-declaration requirements preserves the header-declared helper authority when the same provider is also a source, while listener ingress is now evaluated independently from that diagnostic label.
  • Schedule listing uses detailed Cloud refusals, preserving server codes/remedies and limiting login guidance to the typed session_required case.

No blocking source finding in this delta. Independent captured commands and complete output:
