I write code, I build circuits, and every now and then I look up at the sky and think.

About me

I'm a self-taught developer who enjoys taking an idea and turning it into something real — whether that's a web app, a trading bot, or a circuit on my desk. My work spans web development, embedded systems & IoT, and Linux / DevOps. I write mostly Python and JavaScript, run everything in Docker, and love building things I can actually touch.

Terminal tools

  • pulse — A tiny terminal dashboard for your machine's vitals: CPU, memory, disk, uptime and temperature.
  • dockpeek — A zero-dependency Docker dashboard: status, health, ports and resource use for local or remote containers.
  • upcheck — A zero-dependency uptime checker: HTTP status, response time and SSL expiry for all your sites at once.
  • coinpeek — A zero-dependency CLI that peeks at crypto prices: 24h/7d change and market cap in one color-coded table.

Self-hosted web apps

  • mdconvert — Turns links and files (video, audio, PDF, images) into clean Markdown, with Whisper transcription and OCR. FastAPI + Docker.
  • igdownloader — A small self-hosted downloader for YouTube and Instagram videos (or audio as MP3/M4A). Flask + yt-dlp.

Hardware & mobile

  • trvision — Streams my desktop to Thermalright Vision USB displays without the vendor's software, straight over WinUSB.
  • videoplayer — Oynatıcı, an offline, plays-everything Android video player built on libVLC, with an AMOLED dark UI and gesture controls.

Also building

  • Gem Scanner — A narrative-driven scanner that hunts for high-potential, low-cap crypto coins. It pulls market data from CoinGecko and then scores each token with an LLM.
  • Crypto trading automation — Algorithmic trading strategies running on top of Freqtrade.
  • Aquarium Monitor — A hardware project using an ESP32 and sensors to track aquarium conditions in real time.
  • osmandemir.net — My personal website, self-hosted on a Raspberry Pi 5.
