I had to install a few extra dependencies on a friend's FW laptop running Kubuntu 22.04 that did not already have these installed:
cmake
pkg-config
libfontconfig-dev
Possibly others (as I did not keep great track of all of the ones I had to manually install). Dependencies might be taken care of under the umbrella package build-essential, but I am not sure as I do not use Ubuntu on the daily anymore...
