Proposal
I would like to contribute a mixed international batch of manually transcribed golf-course scorecards, including courses from Czechia, Slovakia, and several other countries. I am opening this issue before preparing a pull request because the repository asks for prior discussion for international bulk imports.
The prepared set contains 305 course candidates:
- 107 with country code
CZ
- 21 with country code
SK
- 157 with another known country code
- 20 whose country still needs to be identified
- 300 18-hole scorecards and 5 9-hole scorecards
- every scorecard has par values and a unique stroke index sequence
The batch also contains 25 US records, which may overlap the current dataset and should be deduplicated rather than blindly imported.

Source and licensing
The scorecard fields were transcribed manually from scorecards. They were not obtained by scraping a commercial API or by bulk-downloading a proprietary database. Each record currently carries the source value cgf-scorecard and an attribution note identifying the scorecard source.
The data owner has explicitly approved publication of the complete set, including the Czech and Slovak courses, under ODbL 1.0. This is a deliberate authorization for this contribution.
Current mapping gaps
The prepared export is an application-oriented intermediate format, not yet a valid OpenGolfAPI GeoJSON import:
- it does not currently contain latitude/longitude or state/city fields
- 20 records are still missing an ISO country code
- it contains tee ratings, slopes, and lengths, while the current core schema describes these as extensions
- stable OpenGolf UUIDs and deduplication against the current dataset still need to be agreed
Could the maintainers advise on the accepted import artifact and mapping for this international batch, especially whether to split the Czech and Slovak courses from the other candidates? Once the mapping and required location fields are agreed, I can prepare a validated pull request with the sources attached to each course.
