Use of variables triggers "Could not parse expression with acorn" error in local build

I've defined variables in docs.json and inserted those by using curly brackets inside mdx help articles. The published articles are just fine. However, the local build shows the error. Seems like a bug to me but thankfully, no impact on published docs. It is more of an inconvenience.

Using mint v4.2.860 (latest as of now) on Windows. All dependencies, OS, mint version, etc. are fully updated.
