How important is calibration?
It is not shown in the sample Arduino code. And, in an arduino environment without direct control of the printer, it would be annoying to accomplish. I intend to use this sensor to measure the heatbed (with plate) to manually tram, apply Kapton tape, etc.
To me, I would rather the measurements be accurate and precise independent of the printer motions. But, I cannot easily provide 40 0.1mm steps independent of the printhead.
