After LoadStateAsync, CanUndo/CanRedo report true for placeholder commands that always throw, and apps have no way to detect them

A CompositeCommand reloads as an un-undoable placeholder even when every sub-command is an ISerializableCommand, which blocks Undo for all older history

After RestoreFromState, SaveBoundary objects from GetCurrentState() or SaveBoundaryCreated no longer resolve: UndoToSaveBoundaryAsync returns false and GetCommandsToUndo returns nothing

Calling MarkAsSaved repeatedly with no edits in between appends a duplicate save boundary each time, so SaveBoundaries and the saved state grow without bound

After a save/load round trip, ChangeMetadata.CustomData values come back as JsonElement, so casting them to their original types throws InvalidCastException

INavigationProvider.IsValidContext is never called: UndoAsync(navigateToChange: true) navigates to contexts the provider reports as invalid

RestoreFromState wipes the whole history and returns true when the state is built from service.Commands / service.SaveBoundaries

Clear(), LoadStateAsync() and RestoreFromState() raise no event, so UIs synced through events show stale CanUndo/CanRedo/unsaved state

1
HasUnsavedChanges is false at an older save point after a newer save, so "save changes?" prompts are skipped while disk holds different content

2
Saving after a load permanently destroys any command that loaded as a placeholder, and each save/load cycle adds another "[Placeholder] " prefix

AddNavigationProvider<T>() registers a Scoped provider consumed by a Transient/Singleton IUndoRedoService, so DI scope validation throws for both documented setups

2
A reloaded ISerializableCommand loses its NavigationContext and ChangeMetadata, so UndoAsync/RedoAsync no longer navigate after LoadStateAsync
