This is an assignment for me (@matthewfeickert) and this Issue serves as a reminder for me and also a way to interact with the funcX dev team on this while I write up things and before I make a PR.
@danielskatz has mentioned that the funcX team would be interested in a blog post on the funcX blog about the work that @BenGalewsky, @lukasheinrich, @kratsg, and I did for our talk on "Distributed statistical inference with pyhf enabled through funcX" at the 25th International Conference on Computing in High-Energy and Nuclear Physics (vCHEP 2021). (There is a pre-print of the paper that will show up in the conference proceedings over at https://arxiv.org/abs/2103.02182). We'd be happy to do this, and will try to get something out soon. 👍
