From 20aa55f7c6209f300fa4834cd451d4d37b137825 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Kibet arap Sum Date: Tue, 14 Jul 2026 16:05:18 +0300 Subject: [PATCH 1/9] feat(payments): configure the Stripe client Pin async-stripe 0.41.0 with Checkout, webhook, and compatible Connect resources while retaining the stable pre-1.0 API. Load Stripe secrets and hosted Checkout settings from explicit APP_STRIPE environment variables, redact credentials from debug output, and disable payments cleanly when configuration is incomplete. Construct one reusable Stripe client in AppContext and cover optional and environment-backed configuration with serial tests. --- service/Cargo.lock | 686 ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++---- service/Cargo.toml | 6 + service/config/development.yaml | 5 + service/src/config/mod.rs | 15 + service/src/config/stripe.rs | 95 +++++ service/src/context.rs | 35 +- service/tests/config/mod.rs | 45 +++ 7 files changed, 806 insertions(+), 81 deletions(-) create mode 100644 service/src/config/stripe.rs diff --git a/service/Cargo.lock b/service/Cargo.lock index 2e83ee5..df75736 100644 --- a/service/Cargo.lock +++ b/service/Cargo.lock @@ -112,7 +112,7 @@ version = "1.1.5" source = "registry+https://github.com/rust-lang/crates.io-index" checksum = "40c48f72fd53cd289104fc64099abca73db4166ad86ea0b4341abe65af83dadc" dependencies = [ - 2026 17:20:51 +0300 Subject: [PATCH 3/9] feat(payments): create customer checkout sessions Add a customer-only checkout endpoint protected by the existing RBAC middleware and derive customer ownership from authenticated claims. Create Stripe-hosted Checkout Sessions from server-priced order snapshots, persist the session against an idempotent payment attempt, and compensate inventory after definitive failures. Cover monetary conversion and checkout authorization boundaries with rstest cases and reviewed Insta snapshots. --- service/src/controllers/orders.rs | 92 +++++++++- service/src/error/mod.rs | 6 + service/src/error/payment.rs | 80 +++++++++ service/src/error/response.rs | 11 +- service/src/lib.rs | 1 + service/src/middlewares/rbac.rs | 60 +++++-- service/src/models/order_items.rs | 15 ++ service/src/models/orders.rs | 170 +++++++++++++----- service/src/payments/mod.rs | 157 ++++++++++++++++ service/src/schemas/mod.rs | 2 +- service/src/schemas/orders.rs | 38 ++++ service/tests/mod.rs | 1 + service/tests/payments.rs | 30 ++++ service/tests/requests/orders.rs | 41 +++++ ...heckout_rejects_staff_accounts@orders.snap | 8 + ...ut_reports_unconfigured_stripe@orders.snap | 8 + ...eckout_requires_authentication@orders.snap | 8 + .../payments/converts_cents@payments.snap | 7 + .../converts_whole_dollars@payments.snap | 7 + .../payments/converts_zero@payments.snap | 7 + .../rejects_fractional_cents@payments.snap | 7 + .../rejects_negative_amounts@payments.snap | 7 + ...rejects_unsupported_currency@payments.snap | 9 + 23 files changed, 708 insertions(+), 64 deletions(-) create mode 100644 service/src/error/payment.rs create mode 100644 service/src/payments/mod.rs create mode 100644 service/tests/payments.rs create mode 100644 service/tests/requests/snapshots/orders/checkout_rejects_staff_accounts@orders.snap create mode 100644 service/tests/requests/snapshots/orders/checkout_reports_unconfigured_stripe@orders.snap create mode 100644 service/tests/requests/snapshots/orders/checkout_requires_authentication@orders.snap create mode 100644 service/tests/snapshots/payments/converts_cents@payments.snap create mode 100644 service/tests/snapshots/payments/converts_whole_dollars@payments.snap create mode 100644 service/tests/snapshots/payments/converts_zero@payments.snap create mode 100644 service/tests/snapshots/payments/rejects_fractional_cents@payments.snap create mode 100644 service/tests/snapshots/payments/rejects_negative_amounts@payments.snap create mode 100644 service/tests/snapshots/payments/rejects_unsupported_currency@payments.snap diff --git a/service/src/controllers/orders.rs b/service/src/controllers/orders.rs index 88bd25e..09fef0f 100644 --- a/service/src/controllers/orders.rs +++ b/service/src/controllers/orders.rs @@ -3,8 +3,9 @@ use axum::{ extract::State, http::StatusCode, response::{IntoResponse, Response}, - routing::{get, patch}, + routing::{get, patch, post}, };
