Option for lower X-ray energies

Dear developers,

I want to try your application for simulating soft X-ray imaging in the range below 1 keV. Unfortunately, that is not possible at the moment. Would it be possible to implement it?

Thanks taking a look at WebCT!
WebCT uses either xpecgen or spekpy for calculating beam spectra, unfortunately neither support X-ray imaging below 1keV.

If you know of a beam spectra model that supports the lower energy I'll be happy to add it as an option, but x-ray spectra emission modelling isn't my forte

Spekpy was updated with an extensions in release v2.5 to include four new target elements - Cr, Cu, Ag and Au - as well as modifications to model transmission targets.
Do you have any plans to update in the WebCT?
By the way, do you have any plans to issue the next version of WebCT? I'm extremely eager to see it.

Yes I'll add support for the new target elements, unfortunately they're still within 10 to 50 kV. I'll also have to take a closer look at their new target modelling, I'm unable to find 2.5.0 release notes so will have to take a look at see what new options the library has.

I know it doesn't seem like it but I'm still working on WebCT in the background! I'm currently in the process of a big digital twin update, and a large portion of that work is in the X-ray simulation library gVirtualXRay, we hope to have a paper published soon! It'll add noise modelling, under/over saturation, panel gain, proper exposure support and be physically matched with real-world systems including an X-ray tube and synchrotron source.

We've gotten the models all working and the user-friendly API done so anyone can make their own digital twin (and use it with WebCT!) if they follow our experimental protocol, it's exciting!

The highest kV goes up to 190kV, this is very interesting for my application, see the picture below.
I am so exciting you continue to work in the process of a big digital twin update, that's fantastic. I can't wait to see it.
