How can I get all file types that can be opened with VS?

I tried the IFileExtensionRegistryService and IFileToContentTypeService, however, they do not return the complete set of extensions.
Some file types are added to the extension registry only when a document of that type is opened.
Is there a way to obtain the supported file types?
