Hi Tim,

Thanks for your work on AnimeLabPiP.

We're proud to announce we're in a preview stage of PiP on AnimeLab.com. Currently the interface to enable PiP is invisible (but can be found if you hover your mouse over the top left of the controls ring.)

You can also enable/disable PiP using "p" on your keyboard.

Most of the code you wrote for the plugin doesn't work with the exception of the CSS modifications.

Let me know how you go with our implementation.

PS we stripped JWPlayer so ads and episodes now flow continuously without interrupting the PiP!

It was my pleasure! I'd never written a Safari extension before so it was a great learning experience. :)

I just had a play with it and it worked perfectly! Being able to progress to the next episode while maintaining PiP is absolutely awesome! :D

One thing I might recommend like I did in mine was to darken and blur the thumbnail artwork (I used the WebKit -webkit-backdrop-filter: CSS property) when the video is in PiP mode. I tested a variety of episodes, and decided to do that after a few of the thumbnails were so bright and detailed that they were interfering with the contrast/legibility of the playback control circle.

Hahaha yeah I'm not surprised my JS would break in the process. But like I said in the README, you've got my complete unconditional permission to use any of the assets in this repo. Feel free to use my CSS, and the PiP icon I painted as well if you'd like (The source PSD file is in the Design folder). :)

Thanks again for letting me know! I'll keep having a play with it (I'll see how well it interacts with full-screen mode) and will let you know if I find any bugs.

Once this feature goes officially live, I can probably retire this library.
