The OpenPCB CoreLibrary contains component symbols, footprints, 3D models and related library metadata converted or adapted from the KiCad official libraries.

Changes: Converted from KiCad library formats into OpenPCB CoreLibrary JSON and STEP metadata formats. Some metadata, naming, pin mappings, footprints and 3D model references have been modified for compatibility with OpenPCB.
Format conversion does not remove KiCad licensing obligations. Converted or modified KiCad-derived library data remains attributed to the KiCad official libraries. The specific obligations for each asset — source library, source item, upstream commit, licence and attribution — are tracked in that asset's structured provenance metadata inside its JSON file, which is where to look for the authoritative record rather than this notice.
The provenance fields the validator requires, and the licence denylist it enforces on KiCad-derived assets, are documented in CONTRIBUTING.md.
