I finished the conan integration and local tests using the example folder were successful. Currently there is one remaining question if the conan files are directly added to the conan center or if they are added to this repository to test them first.

The vcpkg integration is a bit more difficult. Per default vcpkg sets the option -DFETCHCONTENT_FULLY_DISCONNECTED=ON which disables all FetchContent calls. Since the rapids-cmake integration seems to rely on FetchContent and is itself used via FetchContent this leads to an error during the package creation:

I'm not sure what would be the best way to solve that issue. Do you know other libraries which rely on cccl etc. and use vcpkg? Maybe I can look into that.

One solution may be to download all dependencies explicitly in the vcpkg file. For example they do that in the library curve-coco.

One workaround is to set -DFETCHCONTENT_FULLY_DISCONNECTED=OFF. This works locally for me and creates the vcpkg matx. There are just two minor warnings to be fixed. But I assume using this option disallows uploading the vcpkg files to the official vcpkg repo.

Yes that make things a lot easier.

I will create a pull request containing the conan files so you can review and test them.
Later they can be added to the conan center s.t. they can be integrated in other projects without cloning this repo.

I still need to update README and documentation.
I can do that next week.

I added some documentation for conan.
Since the conan files are stored locally in this repository, the user has to clone this repo and create the package itself.

When uploading the conan files (plus1-2 extra files) to the conan center the user can directly use MatX in its conan file without extra cloning this repo.
