From 6b30d69add90223f10e4365397ae60ef43526811 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: ABB65 Date: Thu, 29 Oct 2026 20:44:32 +0300 Subject: [PATCH 1/2] docs(readme): directory listing tags, short description, screenshots Tags now match what people search for (markdown, static site) instead of migration, which draws whole-site migration traffic. The short description names what is exported and where it goes. A Screenshots section describes the four directory screenshots (three steps and the coverage report), and one sentence points to Contentrain Migrate as a separate paid service. --- readme.txt | 13 +++++++++++-- 1 file changed, 11 insertions(+), 2 deletions(-) diff --git a/readme.txt b/readme.txt index 4b64332..e36f687 100644 --- a/readme.txt +++ b/readme.txt @@ -1,6 +1,6 @@ === Contentrain Bridge === Contributors: abb65 -Tags: export, migration, headless, astro, content +Tags: markdown, export, static site, headless, astro Requires at least: 6.2 Tested up to: 7.1 Requires PHP: 7.4 @@ -8,7 +8,7 @@ Stable tag: 0.8.4 License: GPL-2.0-or-later License URI: https://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-2.0.html -Model and export WordPress content and interface text as Contentrain JSON/Markdown, locally or to your own GitHub repository. +Export posts, pages, media and ACF fields as Markdown/JSON to a ZIP or your GitHub repo, ready for Astro or any framework that reads Markdown. == Description == @@ -25,6 +25,8 @@ Contentrain Bridge turns your WordPress content into editable JSON and Markdown Media travels with the content: uploads are copied into `media/` and the content is relinked to them, so the delivered repository does not depend on this site for images. The coverage report: every place WordPress keeps content, counted and split into what was exported, what was left out and why. + == Privacy == The plugin stores export ownership and a source revision marker. It sends nothing anywhere on its own; an export leaves the site only when you download it, deliver it to GitHub, or authorize a program to read it through the REST export API with an administrator's application password or a Contentrain Migrate connection key. For a connection key the plugin stores a fingerprint of the key (never the key), the administrator who created it, the Migrate order it is paired with, the list of exports it started, and the time and IP address of its last use; creating a new key or revoking it, and uninstalling the plugin, removes them. A request made with the key runs with no WordPress user. Export files are written to a private, per-site directory outside the web root that only the server can read, are removed on uninstall, and expire after a day. An export can contain site content, authors' display names and WordPress usernames, selected post metadata and, if you or the program you authorized chose it, privacy-minimized comments of every status (approved, pending, spam and trash) and draft, pending, scheduled, private and password-protected posts (never the password). A program authorized through the REST API chooses the scope; Contentrain Migrate asks for private content. Treat a downloaded export as you would a WordPress export file. If you deliver to GitHub, the exported content is sent to GitHub under the account whose token you provide; choose a private repository when the export includes draft or private content.
