• sync-haskell.sh / bootstrap-from-json can silently write a truncated dist/haskell on partial failure

• Promote lib-pass + redirect orchestration into hydra.build.* (scala→java proves per-host-driver drift)

• sync.sh forces GENERATOR_HOST=haskell for Lisp targets (obsolete since #727/#735)

• Bundle the kernel dist/json module universe in the published packages for every target language

CategoricalData/hydra#786 · Filter by author joshsh opened on Oct 2, 2026

• listDirectory on a file name that is not valid UTF-8: the three main hosts disagree, and the spec does not say what should happen

CategoricalData/hydra#785 · Filter by author joshsh opened on Oct 2, 2026

• printDecimal is not injective for one-digit coefficients in exponent form (breaks the literals.md round-trip law)

CategoricalData/hydra#784 · Filter by author joshsh opened on Oct 2, 2026

• float64ToDecimal / float32ToDecimal give different decimals on Haskell, Java and Python (and differ from literals.md), which changes JSON output

CategoricalData/hydra#783 · Filter by author joshsh opened on Oct 2, 2026

• strings.toUpper / toLower use full case mapping on Java, Scala, TypeScript and Python, contrary to the spec; Python chars.toUpper raises on U+00DF

• inferModulesGiven / inferModules drop every term definition of a target module that is not also in universeMods, and return Right

CategoricalData/hydra#781 · Filter by author joshsh opened on Oct 2, 2026

• Java coder: a backslash-u or */ in a description produces Java that does not compile

CategoricalData/hydra#780 · Filter by author joshsh opened on Oct 2, 2026

• Python coder breaks on nested module names, which validation.md allows outside Hydra's own packages

CategoricalData/hydra#779 · Filter by author joshsh opened on Oct 2, 2026

• hydra.core.print.errors.error prints every inference error as just "inference error"

CategoricalData/hydra#778 · Filter by author joshsh opened on Oct 2, 2026

• sync-all assembles Haskell before the hydra-build Java overlay is copied, so headsExtras fails on fresh or seeded trees

CategoricalData/hydra#771 · Filter by author joshsh opened on Oct 1, 2026

• Decide the kernel package name: hydra-kernel vs hydra-core (registry conflicts on PyPI and npm)
